Description

While basic science research explores into unraveling biological processes, pathways, and mechanisms to identify targets and understand disease progression, engineering focuses on developing techniques, equipment, and procedures to improve patient outcomes. Advancing Science and Innovation in Healthcare Research: Health Horizons not only contributes to the comprehension of human health and disease attenuation but also sheds light on mechanisms and introduces new techniques to combine these two areas and bridge knowledge gaps. Comprising 29 chapters, this book introduces readers to the application of modern technologies such as bioinformatics, bioengineering, and artificial intelligence for advancing human health. It explores the systems biology approach, utilizing (multi)omics techniques and metagenomic profiling. Researchers in systems biology, bioinformatics, and biomedical applications will find this an essential reference.

Key features

  • Deciphers the importance of ground-breaking basic science research and innovative techniques used to ameliorate diseases and improve health
  • Enhances understanding of human health and reduces the impact of diseases by revealing the underlying mechanisms and introducing innovative techniques, addressing knowledge gaps
  • Deals with modern technologies that can be applied for diagnosis and therapeutics of different diseases of different diseases
