Description

Air Pollution, Volume 14 provides a comprehensive overview of air pollution, exploring its sources, effects, and the strategies used to monitor and mitigate its impact on the environment and human health. It covers the fundamental principles of air pollution science, including the chemical and physical characteristics of pollutants, atmospheric processes, and the interactions between natural and anthropogenic emissions. Chapters in this release include Desert dust and health effects, Real-Time PM Monitoring: Insights into Composition Analysis and Source Apportionment, Bioaerosols in a changing planet: Beyond the state-of-the-art, Urban green spaces: A key urban infrastructure for air and acoustic quality, and much more.

Additional chapters cover N2O emissions and NO3 leaching from organic arable crop rotations, Concentrations of elements in lichen and source apportionment, The contribution of industry in the levels of atmospheric heavy metals, and Vehicle-induced fugitive particulate matter emissions in arid environments.

Key features

  • Covers fundamental concepts, sources, and types of air pollutants
  • Discusses the effects of air pollution on human health, including respiratory and cardiovascular diseases
