Description

Biophysics of Life: Origin and Evolution explores the biophysical mechanisms involved in the formation and evolution of life. The book considers a range of topics, including the history of life’s physical evolution, physics laws governing the origins of life, biophysical and biochemical principles in the building blocks of life, biomolecular mutations, and physics and quantum mechanical interpretations of evolution. Biophysical and biochemical techniques for sequencing life’s origins are also explored, as well as bioinformatics and AI algorithms tracking the origins of life. Additionally, biophysics of life in extreme conditions is considered, as well as biophysics of artificial life.

As physics laws govern most of the molecular processes associated with biological life, this book seeks to investigate the origin and development of life through that lens, considering how life’s maturation happened as a result of the coordinated actions of physics, chemistry, and biology. This is an important reference for researchers working across biophysics, biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and in related fields.
