Dr. K. Vasantharaj is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, India. He is an active researcher with more than 12 years of teaching experience. He obtained his Doctoral Degree in the field of Environmental Biotechnology from National Institute of Technology Calicut in Kozhikode, India. He received his MTech degree in Industrial Biotechnology from SASTRA University in Thanjavur, India, and BTech degree in Biotechnology from Anna University in Chennai, India. He has published two edited books on the bioremediation of emerging contaminants. He has authored at least 7 book chapters in standard books, and at least 10 technical publications in various International SCI Indexed journals. He also serves as a reviewer for a number of international journals. His research interests include bioremediation, bioprocessing and sustainable environment.
