Description

Piezocatalysis as a Sustainable Solution for Microbial Eradication and Wastewater Treatment: Developments in Wastewater Treatment Research and Processes comprehensively elucidates insights into the principles and applications of piezocatalysis. The book explains, in detail, the mechanism of the process and explores various approaches and the latest breakthroughs in material synthesis and designing for piezocatalysis. It explains how piezocatalysis offers a unique advantage by simultaneously degrading pollutants and controlling microbial populations, and that this dual action streamlines the wastewater treatment process and enhances overall efficiency.

Along with providing practical insights into how piezocatalysis is being employed to tackle wastewater issues, this book focuses on the recent developments, outlining their challenges and future opportunities. The book provides versatile solutions that are capable of degrading a wide range of pollutants, including recalcitrant organic compounds and microbial contaminants, and as such, enabling the degradation of various water pollutants and removal of pathogenic microbes. Researchers in academia and industry will find this to be a very important resource for learning about the implementation of piezocatalysis for wastewater remediation.
