Jitender Madan

Dr. Jitender Madan is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics at NIPER Hyderabad, a leading researcher and educator in pharmaceutical sciences. His research centers on self-assembled supramolecular systems—liposomes, niosomes, cyclodextrins, nano- and microparticles, and solid-lipid nanoparticles—and leverages FDA-approved biomaterials with lipids and polymers to develop innovative dosage forms that improve bioavailability, stability, safety, and patient compliance. He has mentored numerous doctoral and postgraduate scholars and led industry collaborations and government-funded projects. Notable products include cycloencapsulated andrographolide for immune support and a veterinary spray for bovine mastitis. He has authored a robust body of peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, holds several patents, and has edited nanotechnology-focused volumes. A recognized educator and researcher, he actively contributes as a peer reviewer and advances pharmaceutical science and education through programs like SRIP.

Whilst a wide range of applications are being taken up, the special emphasis is given to augment the aqueous solubility and bioavailability of lipophilic drugs.
