Dr. Xingshun Qi is the director at the Department of Gastroenterology of the General Hospital of Northern Theater Command. His major research interests include clinical research in the etiology, diagnosis, and management of liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, and hepatocellular carcinoma. He is serving as a senior editorial board member of BMC Gastroenterology, an academic editor of Canadian Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, an associate editor of Frontiers in Medicine, and an editorial board member of Therapeutic Advances in Gastroenterology. He has edited 11 English-language books and published more than 400 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
