Mirela Panait
Prof. Mirela Panait currently holds the position of Professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, in Romania. Since 2021, Prof. Panait is also a scientific researcher at the Institute of National Economy and PhD advisor at the doctoral school of the Romanian Academy. Her work experience includes teaching courses and seminaries, research activities, and participating in scientific conferences. She has published 7 books, including as co-editor of ‘Recycling, Upcycling, and Waste Management’ (Elsevier, 2026), and over 100 scientific papers in the areas of energy transition, international finance, and sustainable development, including articles in leading international journals, and has also been editor, associate editor, guest editor or reviewer for prestigious international journals.

Eglantina Hysa is a Full Professor of Economics based in Brussels, specializing in development economics, social policy, and quality assurance in higher education. She has an extensive publication record, including book chapters and technical reports in leading international journals and with reputable publishers. With over 15 years of professional experience, Professor Hysa has a strong background in innovation and business consultancy, focusing on business models, strategic development, KPI analysis, digital economy, and sustainability. She has successfully led cross-functional teams, NGOs, and large-scale international projects, serving in senior roles as project lead and stakeholder coordinator. She is a certified expert evaluator for European Commission programs, including Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+, contributing to the evaluation and advancement of research and education initiatives across Europe. Her research and professional activities center on the intersections of economic development, cultural dynamics, and sustainable business practices, supporting evidence-based policies for inclusive growth and social cohesion.
