Juliana Miranda Cerqueira

Juliana Miranda Cerqueira holds a Master’s degree from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, with a specialization in Nutritional Genomics and cancer research. She is currently in the final year of her PhD at the Celiac Disease Research Center at the University of Tampere, Finland. Her doctoral research focuses on uncovering the genetic factors underlying phenotypic variations in complex traits, with a particular emphasis on celiac disease.

Since 2022, Juliana has been a consultant for the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) Young Committee, following her prior role as vice-chair. Additionally, she is a member of the Scientific Programme Committee of the ESHG.
