Dr Meenakshi Dhanawat, is currently working as Associate Professor in Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Haryana. She has a background in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Medicinal Chemistry. She has done Masters from NIPER, Mohali and the project was based on Glycosylamino acids. Her PhD is from IIT-BHU, Varanasi and she worked on CNS drug delivery targeting 5HT1A/2A receptor. Apart from that she has a vast experience in the extraction of herbal drugs. Area of interest are Synthetic Chemistry, Heterocyclic Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Drug Delivery, Prodrug and Co-Drug Drug Design Complexation, Polymer Chemistry, and their application in drug delivery.
She has 17 years of teaching and research experience. She has attended several national and international conferences in india and abroad the recipient of the travelship award in DDD section of AAPS-2010, National Biotechnology Conference, California, USA. She has been able to grab the international travel grant from DBT and DST for attending the International Conference at California, USA and Munich, Germany Respectively. She has also grabbed many other fellowships awards, which includes Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship. She has Published more than 85 Research/Reviews along with Patent-06, Books 6, Book Chapter 22, Book Editor 02, Copyright 01.
