  • Acta Histochemica

    • ISSN: 0065-1281
Research and Methods in Cell and Tissue BiologyActa Histochemica is a classic scientific journal established in 1954 currently focused on basic research and methodological innovations in cell and tissue biology. The aim of the journal is to promote the peer-reviewed publication of original articles and short communications reporting novel results and experimental approaches in the field, as well as comprehensive reviews, letters to the editor and meeting reports, serving as an open forum for the cell and histochemical research community. Manuscripts analysing the mechanisms of functional regulation of living systems at a cell/tissue level, in physiological or pathological conditions, or reporting new techniques and methodological approaches to quantify/visualize cellular activities are particularly welcomed.

  • Clinical Biomechanics

    • ISSN: 0268-0033
A journal affiliated to the International Society of Biomechanics, the American Society of Biomechanics, the European Society of Biomechanics, the Taiwanese Society for Biomechanics and the Société de Biomécanique.Clinica... Biomechanics is an international multidisciplinary journal of biomechanics with a focus on medical and clinical applications of new knowledge in the field. The science of biomechanics helps explain the causes of cell, tissue, organ and body system disorders, and supports clinicians in the diagnosis, prognosis and evaluation of treatment methods and technologies. Clinical Biomechanics aims to strengthen the links between laboratory and clinic by publishing cutting-edge biomechanics research which helps to explain the causes of injury and disease, and which provides evidence contributing to improved clinical management.A rigorous peer review system is employed and every attempt is made to process and publish top-quality papers promptly.Clinical Biomechanics explores all facets of body system, organ, tissue and cell biomechanics, with an emphasis on medical and clinical applications of the basic science aspects. The role of basic science is therefore recognized in a medical or clinical context. The readership of the journal closely reflects its multi-disciplinary contents, being a balance of scientists, engineers and clinicians. The contents are in the form of research papers, brief reports, review papers and correspondence, whilst special interest issues and supplements are published from time to time.Disciplines covered include biomechanics and mechanobiology at all scales, bioengineering and use of tissue engineering and biomaterials for clinical applications, biophysics, as well as biomechanical aspects of medical robotics, ergonomics, physical and occupational therapeutics and rehabilitation. The journal is affiliated to the European Society of Biomechanics, the American Society of Biomechanics, the International Society of Biomechanics, the Taiwanese Society of Biomechanics, and the Société de Biomécanique.
  • Journal of PeriAnesthesia Nursing

Official Journal of the American Society of PeriAnesthesia NursesThe Journal of PeriAnesthesia Nursing provides original, peer-reviewed research for a primary audience that includes nurses in perianesthesia settings, including ambulatory surgery, preadmission testing, postanesthesia care (Phases I and II), extended observation, and pain management. The Journal provides a forum for sharing professional knowledge and experience relating to management, ethics, legislation, research, and other aspects of perianesthesia nursing.
  • Journal of Investigative Dermatology

    • ISSN: 0022-202X
The Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID) publishes high impact reports describing original research related to all aspects of cutaneous biology and skin disease. Descriptions of important findings that result from basic, translational, or clinical research are appropriate for submission. Clinical research can include, but is not limited to, interventional trials, genetic studies, epidemiology, and health services research. The JID places a high priority on publication of new insights into basic cutaneous biology, disease pathogenesis, and treatment. Reports that describe a new methodology, technique, or tool in combination with mechanistic insights into the problem that is being investigated are encouraged. It is possible that occasional descriptions of novel technology, methodology, or resources that are of special interest or utility to JID readers could be competitive for publication, even in the absence of new mechanistic insights. Reports describing novel variants in known genes with no new mechanistic data will not be reviewed. Case reports or case series, unless they provide new biologic insights, are rarely appropriate for submission. Purely hypothesis generating clinical research such as analysis of case reports, pharmacovigilance reports (for example, analyses of FAERS), unless truly novel, or accompanied with hypothesis testing approaches (e.g., cohort, case-control, clinical trial, and/or mechanistic laboratory studies) are not within the JID Scope. Clinical research using administrative claims or electronic medical record data (for example, TriNetX) should have evidence that the codes validly represent the variables being studied and that the data are complete enough to yield valid inferences.Standard features of the Journal include Original Articles, Review Articles, and Letters to the Editor. Perspectives and Commentaries are invited by the Editorial Board. All articles are peer reviewed prior to acceptance and publication, and some invited articles may ultimately not be accepted for publication. Online features enhance JID content, making it more relevant and accessible, especially to non-scientists, trainees, and clinician-educators.
