  • Journal of Psychiatric Research

    • ISSN: 0022-3956
Founded in 1961 to report on the latest work in psychiatry and cognate disciplines, the Journal of Psychiatric Research is dedicated to innovative and timely studies of four important areas of research:(1) Clinical studies of all disciplines relating to psychiatric illness, as well as normal human behaviour, including biochemical, physiological, genetic, environmental, social, psychological and epidemiological factors;(2) Basic studies pertaining to psychiatry in such fields as neuropsychopharmacol... neuroendocrinology, electrophysiology, genetics, experimental psychology and epidemiology;(3) The growing application of clinical laboratory techniques in psychiatry, including imagery and spectroscopy of the brain, molecular biology and computer sciences;(4) Advances in basic and clinical research methodology, including the process of "bench-to-bedside" transfer of new research findings. The Editors-in-Chief will accept papers of high scientific caliber, if necessary after appropriate revision, and will aim for their rapid publication. In addition, the Journal will be enhanced by the inclusion of commissioned reviews, news items, book notices and letters to the Editors.
  • Journal of Psychosomatic Research

    • ISSN: 0022-3999
Official Journal of the European Association of Psychosomatic Medicine and affiliated with the International College of Psychosomatic MedicineThe Journal of Psychosomatic Research is a multidisciplinary research journal covering all aspects of the relationships between psychology and medicine. The scope is broad and ranges from basic human biological and psychological research to evaluations of treatment and services. Papers will normally be concerned with illness or patients rather than studies of healthy populations. Studies concerning special populations, such as the elderly and children and adolescents, are welcome. In addition to peer-reviewed original papers, the journal publishes editorials, reviews, and other papers related to the journal's aims.
  • Psychiatry Research

    • ISSN: 0165-1781
This journal provides rapid publication of complete research reports and reviews in the field of psychiatry. The scope of the journal encompasses:Biochemi... physiological, neuroanatomic, genetic, neurocognitive, and psychosocial determinants of psychiatric disorders.Diagnostic assessments of psychiatric disorders.Evaluation... that pursue hypotheses about the cause or causes of psychiatric diseases.Evaluations of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic psychiatric treatments.Basic neuroscience studies related to animal or neurochemical models for psychiatric disorders.Methodolog... advances, such as instrumentation, clinical scales, and assays directly applicable to psychiatric research. These will be considered only if the scales and assays are included as an appendix to the manuscript in English. If they are too long, the way to obtain them without cost to the reader must be carefully stated in the methods section of the manuscript.Reviews of timely topics in psychiatric researchLetters to the editor will be considered for case reports, comments about previously published papers, or secondary data analyses.Papers with a primary focus on imaging techniques, can be submitted to Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging .
  • Psychoneuroendocrinology

    • ISSN: 0306-4530
The Official Journal of the International Society of Psychoneuroendocri... publishes papers dealing with the interrelated disciplines of psychology, neurobiology, endocrinology, immunology, neurology, and psychiatry, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary studies aiming at integrating these disciplines in terms of either basic research or clinical implications. One of the main goals is to understand how a variety of psychobiological factors interact in the expression of the stress response as it relates to the development and/or maintenance of neuropsychiatric illnesses. The journal is international and comprises original research papers, reviews of an area of the literature, or at an appropriate stage in the development of the author's own work, commentaries in areas of current interest, short communications and book reviews. Although reviews, editorials and commentaries are usually by invitation, interested authors can contact the Editor-in-Chief to discuss the suitability of topics for either category of manuscripts.Authors are also welcome to submit their manuscripts to the journal's open access companion title, Comprehensive Psychoneuroendocrino... .
  • Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging
