The International Journal of Theoretical and Applied Papers on Economic Modelling.Economic Modelling - a scholarly journal which came into being in 1984 - fills a major gap in the economics literature, providing a single source of both theoretical and applied papers on economic modelling. The journal's prime objective is to provide an international review of the state-of-the-art in economic modelling.Economic Modelling has historically published the complete versions of many large-scale macroeconomic models (for advanced and less developed countries and both closed and open economies) which have been developed for policy analysis. Examples are the Bank of England Model and the US Federal Reserve Board Model. As these models are updated and new models are developed, the journal continues to publish papers dealing with these revisions or new models, including structural macro-modeling in a VAR framework or in the latest DSGE settings.The journal currently publishes policy-relevant theoretical and applied papers in macroeconomics and other fields of economics, such as development economics, energy economics, environmental economics, financial economics, health economics, industrial economics, international economics, labor economics, microeconomics, public economics, and urban economics. Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation
Founded in 1992, the Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation (JIAAT) publishes research that advances our understanding of international accounting over a diverse range of topics and research methods. JIAAT articles deal with most areas of international accounting, including auditing, financial accounting, taxation, social and environmental accounting, and management accounting. The Journal welcomes research that utilizes a wide range of basic and applied research methods, including archival, experimental, survey, analytical, and case study.The Journal's founding goal was to bridge the gap between academic researchers and practitioners by publishing papers that are relevant to the development of the field of accounting. Within this context, submissions are expected to make a contribution to the academic accounting literature, including as appropriate the international accounting literature typically found in JIAAT and other primary US-based international accounting journals as well as in leading European, Australian, and Canadian academic accounting journals. Applied research findings, critiques of current accounting practices and the measurement of their effects on business decisions, and research-based essays on world affairs which affect accounting practice are all within the scope of the journal.Although the Journal welcomes a wide range of topics, papers may be rejected without being sent out for formal review if the paper is deemed outside of the scope of the journal, too narrow in interest or scope, of unacceptable written quality, or as not sufficiently adhering to the style requirements as outlined in the Guide for Authors. We strongly urge all authors interested in JIAAT to carefully read the Guide to Authors and to examine some of its more recently published articles. Examples of topics outside the scope of the journal include accounting education, attitudes about the implementation and use of software programs, and tax papers with an economics or finance focus rather than an accounting-related tax focus. Regional Science and Urban Economics facilitates and encourages high-quality scholarship on important issues in regional and urban economics. It publishes significant contributions that are theoretical or empirical, positive or normative. It solicits original papers with a spatial dimension that can be of interest to economists. The Multi-Disciplinary International Journal Devoted to the Study and Promotion of World DevelopmentWorld Development is a multi-disciplinary monthly journal of development studies. English for Specific Purposes
English For Specific Purposes is an international peer-reviewed journal that welcomes submissions from across the world. Authors are encouraged to submit articles and research/discussion notes on topics relevant to the teaching and learning of discourse for specific communities: academic, occupational, or otherwise specialized. Topics such as the following may be treated from the perspective of English for specific purposes: second language acquisition in specialized contexts, needs assessment, curriculum development and evaluation, materials preparation, discourse analysis, descriptions of specialized varieties of English, teaching and testing techniques, the effectiveness of various approaches to language learning and language teaching, and the training or retraining of teachers for the teaching of ESP. In addition, the journal welcomes articles and discussions that identify aspects of ESP needing development, areas into which the practice of ESP may be expanded, possible means of cooperation between ESP programs and learners' professional or vocational interests, and implications that findings from related disciplines can have for the profession of ESP. In the Editor's view, the formal mathematical expression of economic ideas is of vital importance to economics. Such expression can determine whether a loose economic intuition has a coherent, logical meaning. Also, a full formal development of economic ideas can itself suggest new economic concepts and intuitions.The primary objective of the Journal is to provide a forum for work in economic theory which expresses economic ideas using formal mathematical reasoning. For work to add to this primary objective, it is not sufficient that the mathematical reasoning be new and correct. The work must have real economic content.
