Neural Networks
The journal Neural Networks provides a forum for developing and nurturing an international community of scholars and practitioners who are interested in all aspects of neural networks, including deep learning and related approaches to artificial intelligence and machine learning.Neural Networks welcomes submissions that contribute to the full range of neural networks research, from cognitive modeling and computational neuroscience, through deep learning algorithms and mathematical analyses, to engineering and technological applications of systems that significantly use neural network concepts and learning techniques. This uniquely broad range facilitates the cross-fertilization of ideas between biological and technological studies, and helps to foster the development of the interdisciplinary community that is interested in biologically-inspire... artificial intelligence. Accordingly, the Neural Networks editorial board represents experts in fields including psychology, neurobiology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, and physics. On the other hand, neural networks should be central to submissions. The journal publishes articles, letters, and reviews/tutorials, as well as letters to the editor, editorials, and current events. Articles are published in one of five sections: learning systems, cognitive science, neuroscience, mathematical and computational analysis, engineering and applications.Neural Networks is the archival journal of three of the oldest and most prominent neural network societies: the International Neural Network Society (INNS), the Asia-Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS), and the Japanese Neural Network Society (JNNS). Discrete Applied Mathematics
The Journal of Combinatorial Algorithms, Informatics and Computational SciencesThe aim of Discrete Applied Mathematics is to bring together research papers in different areas of algorithmic and applicable discrete mathematics as well as applications of combinatorial mathematics to informatics and various areas of science and technology. Contributions presented to the journal can be research papers, short notes, surveys, and possibly research problems. The "Communications" section will be devoted to the fastest possible publication of recent research results that are checked and recommended for publication by a member of the Editorial Board. The journal will also publish a limited number of book announcements as well as proceedings of conferences. Papers may reflect a variety of theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches examining any developmental phase from infants to adults and in diverse learning and instructional settings. Studies including laboratory experiments and field trials are welcome, including large-scale quantitative studies and qualitative case studies. Studies may contribute to general areas of learning and instruction or to specific domains, disciplines, or school subjects. Journal of Informetrics
Journal of Informetrics (JOI) publishes rigorous high-quality research on quantitative aspects of information science. The main focus of the journal is on topics in bibliometrics, scientometrics, webometrics, patentometrics, altmetrics and research evaluation. Contributions studying informetric problems using methods from other quantitative fields, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics and econometrics, and network science, are especially encouraged. JOI publishes both theoretical and empirical work. In general, case studies, for instance a bibliometric analysis focusing on a specific research field or a specific country, are not considered suitable for publication in JOI, unless they contain innovative methodological elements.- ISSN: 1751-1577

Established in 1947, Research in Economics is one of the oldest general-interest economics journals in the world and the main one among those based in Italy. The purpose of the journal is to select original theoretical and empirical articles that will have high impact on the debate in the social sciences; since 1947, it has published important research contributions on a wide range of topics.A summary of our editorial policy is this: the editors make a preliminary assessment of whether the results of a paper, if correct, are worth publishing. If so one of the associate editors reviews the paper: from the reviewer we expect to learn if the paper is understandable and coherent and - within reasonable bounds - the results are correct.We believe that long lags in publication and multiple demands for revision simply slow scientific progress. Our goal is to provide you a definitive answer within one month of submission. We give the editors one week to judge the overall contribution and if acceptable send your paper to an associate editor. We expect the associate editor to provide a more detailed evaluation within three weeks so that the editors can make a final decision before the month expires.In the (rare) case of a revision we allow four months and in the case of conditional acceptance we allow two months to submit the final version. In both cases we expect a cover letter explaining how you met the requirements. For conditional acceptance the editors will verify that the requirements were met. In the case of revision the original associate editor will do so. If the revision cannot be at least conditionally accepted it is rejected: there is no second revision.- ISSN: 1090-9443

Sports Economics Review
Sports Economics Review (SER) welcomes submissions that deal with various economic topics in the sports industry or manuscripts that use sports as a laboratory to study human behavior. The journal views sports economics as a part of economic science and welcomes sport related contributions from fields such as behavioral economics, development economics, finance, game theory, health economics, industrial organisation, labor economics, political economics, public economics, sports analytics, and urban economics. The journal is open to different research methodologies that are employed in general interest economic journals, as long as they are relevant to the topic and employed rigorously. Literature reviews that integrate findings from many studies are also welcome, but they should synthesize the literature in a useful manner and provide a substantial contribution beyond what the reader could get by simply reading the abstracts of the cited papers. In empirical work, it is important that the results are not only precise but also economically relevant. In addition, empirical papers are expected to follow a clear identification strategy. Papers should not be unnecessarily long. Short articles are also welcome. We acknowledge the importance of replication in science, thus we welcome manuscripts that try to replicate previous findings, as long as these manuscripts demonstrate the need for replication.- ISSN: 2773-1618
