The basic criterion for considering papers is whether the results provide significant conceptual advances into, or raise provocative questions and hypotheses regarding, an interesting and important biological question. In addition to primary research articles in four formats, Cell features review and opinion articles on recent research advances and issues of interest to its broad readership in the leading edge section.Visit the Cell Press website for more information about Cell - http://www.cell.com.ucc.idm.oclc.org/...- ISSN: 0092-8674

Trends in Cognitive Sciences
Essential reading for those working directly in the cognitive sciences or in related specialist areas, Trends in Cognitive Sciences provides an instant overview of current thinking for scientists, students and teachers who want to keep up with the latest developments in the cognitive sciences. The journal brings together research in psychology, artificial intelligence, linguistics, philosophy, computer science and neuroscience. Trends in Cognitive Sciences provides a platform for the interaction of these disciplines and the evolution of cognitive science as an independent field of study.Visit the Cell Press website for more information about Trends in Cognitive Sciences - http://www.cell.com.ucc.idm.oclc.org/...- ISSN: 1364-6613

Trends in Neurosciences
For over four decades, Trends in Neurosciences (TINS) has been a prominent source of inspiring reviews and commentaries across all disciplines of neuroscience. TINS is a monthly, peer-reviewed journal, and its articles are curated by the Editor and authored by leading researchers in their respective fields. The journal communicates exciting advances in brain research, serves as a voice for the global neuroscience community, and highlights the contribution of neuroscientific research to medicine and society.Visit the Cell Press website for more information about Trends in Neurosciences - http://www.cell.com.ucc.idm.oclc.org/...- ISSN: 0166-2236

The Lancet Neurology
The Lancet Neurology is an authoritative forum for key opinion leaders across medicine, government, and health systems to influence clinical practice, explore global policy, and inform constructive, positive change worldwide. As the global leader in clinical neurology, the journal delivers essential original research, expert review, candid commentary, and breaking news to provide context and perspective on today's most important medical advances across the broad spectrum of clinical neurology.- ISSN: 1474-4422

The Lancet
The Lancet is an independent, international general medical journal founded in 1823 by Thomas Wakley. Since its first weekly issue (October 5, 1823), the journal has strived to make science widely available so that medicine can serve, and transform society, and positively impact the lives of people. The Lancet is committed to applying scientific knowledge to improve health and advance human progress. In our weekly issues, and Online First content, we publish some of the best science from the best scientists worldwide, providing an unparalleled global reach and impact on health.- ISSN: 0140-6736

Neurotoxicology and Teratology
Affiliated with the The Developmental Neurotoxicology Society, formerly known as The Neurobehavioral Teratology Society.Neurotoxicol... and Teratology provides a forum for publishing new information regarding the effects of chemical and physical agents on the developing, adult, or aging nervous system. In this context, the fields of neurotoxicology and teratology include studies of agent-induced alterations of nervous system function, with a focus on behavioral outcomes and their underlying physiological, neurochemical, molecular, and immunological mechanisms. The Journal publishes original, peer-reviewed Research Reports of experimental, clinical, and epidemiological studies that address the neurotoxicity and/or functional teratology of pesticides, solvents, heavy metals, nanomaterials, organometals, industrial compounds, mixtures, drugs of abuse, pharmaceuticals, animal and plant toxins, atmospheric reaction products, and physical agents such as radiation and noise. These reports include traditional mammalian neurotoxicology experiments, human studies, studies using non-mammalian animal models, and mechanistic studies in vivo or in vitro. Special Issues, Reviews, Commentaries, and Symposium Papers provide timely updates on areas that have reached a critical point of synthesis, on aspects of a scientific field undergoing rapid change, or on areas that present special methodological or interpretive problems. Theoretical Articles address concepts and potential mechanisms underlying interactions of agents of interest with the nervous system. Short Communications concisely describe a new method, technique, apparatus, or experimental result.- ISSN: 0892-0362

NeuroToxicology
Affiliated with the International Neurotoxicology AssociationNeuroToxi... specializes in publishing peer-reviewed original research papers describing the effects of toxic substances on the nervous system across the lifespan as determined in humans and/or experimental models (in vivo, in vitro, in silico). The Journal welcomes papers dealing with the neurotoxic effects of occupationally and environmentally relevant exposures to agents (chemical, physical, biological, pharmacological or naturally occurring), singly or in mixtures, including complex mixtures, such as air pollution. Papers describing neurotoxic outcomes associated with natural disasters, industrial accidents, and terrorist attacks are also welcome.Experimental (animal, in vitro, in silico) papers focused on the neurotoxic effects of undefined commercial formulas (i.e., pesticide formulations) will be considered only if the authors report the chemical composition of the formulation and/or determine whether neurotoxic effects are due to the active chemical ingredient(s), carrier, or combination. For human studies, the components of formulations or other mixtures should be identified, but if not available, the source of exposure (i.e. commercial formulation, air pollution, wildfires, hurricanes, and other natural or industrial disasters) should be described as fully as possible.NeuroToxico... welcomes papers describing interventions for mitigating or reversing neurotoxic outcomes, but will accept papers reporting on neuroprotective or neurorestorative properties of formulations, botanical extracts, or other natural products only if full chemical identification and purification information of the active molecule(s) is provided. NeuroToxicology does not accept case reports.- ISSN: 0161-813X

Evolution and Human Behavior
Official Journal of the Human Behavior and Evolution Society Members of the Society receive reduced cost subscriptions to the journal.Evolution and Human Behavior is an interdisciplinary journal, presenting research reports and theory in which evolutionary perspectives are brought to bear on the study of human behavior. It is primarily a scientific journal, but submissions from scholars in the humanities are also encouraged. Papers reporting on theoretical and empirical work on other species will be welcome if their relevance to the human animal is apparent.- ISSN: 1090-5138

Cortex
A Journal devoted to the Study of the Nervous System and Behavior.CORTEX is an international journal devoted to the study of cognition and of the relationship between the nervous system and mental processes, particularly as these are reflected in the behaviour of patients with acquired brain lesions, normal volunteers, children with typical and atypical development, and in the activation of brain regions and systems as recorded by functional neuroimaging techniques. It was founded in 1964 by Ennio De Renzi.- ISSN: 0010-9452
