Editors commission reviews from authors on each topic that they have selected and arrange for the peer review process. The papers are reviewed by 2 independent reviewers.Submission... Opinion in Toxicology allows two ways to submit to the journal:Invitation – in accordance with the established procedure for all Current Opinion titles, andDirect submission - authors are invited to submit directly via the submission system Editorial Manager. All submissions are subject to the standard, rigorous peer review by the journal Editors, as well as completeness and relevance check at submission to ensure high quality and research integrity requirements are met. The direct submission papers, if accepted, will be published in the General Toxicology section of the journal.Short ReviewsAuthors are asked to submit short review opinion type articles, in which they present recent developments in their subject, emphasising the aspects that, in their opinion, are most important. In addition, they provide short annotations to the papers that they consider to be most interesting from all those published in their topic over the 5 years. Original research papers and systematic reviews will not be considered. These can be submitted to the companion journal Current Research in Toxicology.Editorial Overview For invitation only sections, Section Editors write a short overview at the beginning of the section, to introduce the reviews and to draw the reader's attention to any particularly interesting developments.Ethics in Publishing: General Statement The Editors and the Publisher of this journal believe that there are fundamental principles underlying scholarly and professional publishing. While this may not amount to a formal 'code of conduct', these fundamental principles with respect to the authors' paper, are that the paper should: i) be the authors' own original work, which has not been previously published elsewhere, ii) reflect the authors' own research and analysis and do so in a truthful and complete manner, iii) properly credit the meaningful contributions of co-authors and co-researchers, iv) not be submitted to more than one journal for consideration, and v) be appropriately placed in the context of prior and existing research. Of equal importance are ethical guidelines dealing with research methods and research funding, including issues dealing with informed consent, research subject privacy rights, conflicts of interest, and sources of funding. While it may not be possible to draft a 'code' that applies adequately to all instances and circumstances, we believe it useful to outline our expectations of authors and procedures that the journal will employ in the event of questions concerning author conduct. With respect to conflicts of interest, the Publisher now requires authors to declare any conflicts of interest that relate to papers accepted for publication in this journal. A conflict of interest may exist when an author or the author's institution has a financial or other relationship with other people or organizations that may inappropriately influence the author's work. A conflict can be actual or potential and full disclosure to the journal is the safest course. All submissions to the journal must include disclosure of all relationships that could be viewed as presenting a potential conflict of interest. The journal may use such information as a basis for editorial decisions and may publish such disclosures, if they are believed to be important to readers in judging the manuscript. Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology
Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology publishes original scientific research of relevance to animals or humans pertaining to the action of chemicals, drugs, or chemically-defined natural products.Regular articles address mechanistic approaches to physiological, pharmacologic, biochemical, cellular, or molecular understanding of toxicologic/patholog... lesions and to methods used to describe these responses. Safety Science articles address outstanding state-of-the-art preclinical and human translational characterization of drug and chemical safety employing cutting-edge science. Highly significant Regulatory Safety Science articles will also be considered in this category. Papers concerned with alternatives to the use of experimental animals are encouraged.Short articles report on high impact studies of broad interest to readers of TAAP that would benefit from rapid publication. These articles should contain no more than a combined total of four figures and tables. Authors should include in their cover letter the justification for consideration of their manuscript as a short article.TAAP also issues a standing call for outstanding Invited Review Articles. Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy
Widely recognized journal of the International Collaboration of Pharmacy Journal Editors (ICPJE) in comportment with the Granada Statements, Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy (RSAP) publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed content in health services research specifically as it relates to some aspects of the medication use process. The medication use process includes (but is not limited to) the prescribing, preparation, dispensing, administration, adherence to, evaluation, monitoring, and outcomes associated with legend or with over-the-counter medications, incorporating the concept of clinical pharmacy which optimize utilization of medicines to achieve person-centered and public health goals. Endpoints of interest include, but are not limited to carcinogenesis, mutagenesis, respiratory toxicology, neurotoxicology, reproductive and developmental toxicology, and immunotoxicology.CBI discourages papers that are descriptive in nature and that do not address toxicological mechanisms (e.g., reports of toxicological effects following chemical exposure in absence of mechanistic experiments).
