UtilizationApplied Thermal Engineering disseminates novel research related to the design, development and demonstration of components, devices, equipment, technologies, systems and, in general, solutions involving thermal processes for the production, storage, utilization, management and conservation of energy, with a focus on engineering application. It is noted that articles concerned with the development and/or characterization of materials are only within scope if they include content relating to the implications of the employment of these materials in engineering applications, e.g., by considering their operation and/or performance within components, devices, equipment, technologies and/or wider thermal systems. Research relating to the use of energy for thermal management in diverse applications, from electrical and electronic components to buildings and wider energy systems, is also considered to be within scope if thermal management and/or other thermal application elements are included.The journal publishes high-quality and high-impact Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Vision Articles, Invited Articles, Rapid Communication Articles and Letters to the Editor on cutting-edge innovations in research, and recent advances or issues of interest to the thermal engineering community. Review Articles are generally by invitation. Prospective authors are asked to submit Review Article proposals to the Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor Dr. Kai Wang using this form. Subject to proposal approval, authors will be invited to submit their full article under the appropriate article type.
